The Stylish Traveler: Juan Dominguez

Juan in Venice
For our next personality on this series we are featuring another friend of mine who while on Christmas holiday in Colombia posted a photo of a beach full of vibrant mochilas. While I was in Germany with my in-laws I just so happened to mention on his instagram post how much i liked them and he brought one home for me! The power of the internet – real time communication!
Fun, gregarious and extremely friendly Coca-Cola FEMSA’s Director of Human Resources and Corporate Affairs, Juan Dominguez, along with his beautiful wife Ana, has brought some warm latin flair to Manila’s social circles. A longtime resident of Mexico Juan has now adopted Manila as his home. An avid traveler and art collector he explores the world with his family as often as he can. For work or out and about he is always seen wearing impeccably tailored suits with a touch of whimsy – a colorful paisley pocket square or bright socks, but when he is on holiday, it’s more about being relaxed yet put together and always with his signature scarves and hats.
Gentlemen can take some tips from the stylish exec, proof that you can still look good while traveling without being overly fussy.
The Gypsetters Net : Name 3 packing essentials
Juan Dominguez: Watches, scarves and shoes
TGN: Are you a “less is more or more is more” kind of packer?
Juan: More is always more… you can really never anticipate is what will happen, so preparedness is a must.
TGN: When you travel are you more of a “do as the romans do” or do you carry on with your “signature look”
Juan: Signature looks are always adaptable, so I guess it’s about adapting myself to the Romans without leaving me behind.
TGN: What is your suitcase?
Juan: Once you discover Tumi it is very difficult to move out.
TGN: Name one item you can’t live without and always have with you when you travel.
Juan: Cables and chargers!!

We are two friends who were former magazine editors. Having moved onto other things, we both realized that the creative flow the publishing world used to offer us was missing from our lives. Armed with a common love of travel to the exotic and familiar, a penchant for the bohemian, an obsession with food and a lust for writing, we decided to collaborate our unique and fashionable journeys through life together in one passion project.
We are The Gypsetters.
