I have always loved Ito Kish’s impeccable taste and his innate quality to put things together. Every time I enter his store I have found myself lusting over unique objects hailing from different corners of the world – an antique burmese Buddha, stunning carpets from India, embroidered pillows from Turkey, linens from Lithuania… Every piece is so special and well sought. Most of the time I would have to clear purchases with my husband or hand over my credit card and dare not look or simply keep lusting away but this season I love how Ito has made an effort to cater to all budgets making the best designs from around the world accessible to everyone.
FIRST is his collection of pieces that he feels are perfect for those furnishing their home for the first time. A young couple or someone starting out on their own looking for unique, well designed pieces that are stylish and functional. This particular collection is all from Scandinavia, the region most known for marrying innovation, aesthetic and purpose. It covers everything from small items like glass, trays, pillows and poufs to larger pieces such as desks and lighting. I especially love these stunning DIY shelves attached to the wall with leather straps. No need to call a carpenter, so easy to install and really beautiful on its own.
Definitely worth visiting for gifts or for yourself. For more information please visit www.kish.ph

We are two friends who were former magazine editors. Having moved onto other things, we both realized that the creative flow the publishing world used to offer us was missing from our lives. Armed with a common love of travel to the exotic and familiar, a penchant for the bohemian, an obsession with food and a lust for writing, we decided to collaborate our unique and fashionable journeys through life together in one passion project.
